Procrastination acts like a bitch and it's been over a month i have been giving excuses to avoid cleaning my room. So i finally geared myself and took the first step towards cleaning! It was disastrous! I disturbed a cockroach party going down a big cardboard box, which contained decade old diaries, paintings and conversation chits I treasured. My gate-crashing got them enraged and they started running helter-skelter in mad frenzy. Some went under the bed, some to the corners and some under my wardrobe! Pheeew!
I let them settle down and opened the box again. Everything inside seemed like a waste. Maybe that was because I had grown up or rather 'become matured'. Whatever it was, i planned to dump the whole box. That's when a stupid cockroach made a surprise visit, to which i reacted by smashing it hard on the floor by an old diary! What a pity! It was dead and i was looking at the book with disgust. And that's when i noticed it was a diary from my 10th grade. Hastily i opened it. The pages were cluttered with drawings, doodles, song lyrics, names of best friends and there on the second last page i found a poem. A poem written by me when i broke up with my first love. I found it funny but it was an outlet of pain then, or like always! ;)
So here goes my first poem...

LOVE IS GONE!
I am screaming inside my head
even though everyone thinks am fine,
Crying myself to sleep every
night and wake up every morning as if nothing ever went wrong in my life!
Life didn’t transpire to be
what I thought it would be
It isn’t what it ought to be!
I waddle in sadness
And dreams sustain me through
madness
Yet life goes on regardless!
I never stopped to realize
how lonely without you I would be
In fact I never thought the
day would come when you would grow tired of me
Now I’m al alone lost in this
nothingness
Waiting desperately to get
out of this helplessness
Alone is not a bad way to be
Yet it’s the most awful thing
that can happen to me
I know love is grand
But the price you pay is
really high
And rather than fighting I
choose to die!
I don’t know why I abstain
from love now a days
But Of course the reason is
you pretty face!
Coz On my heart strings you
played a sweet note
But when you left me it
became a poison without antidote
Or maybe its coz of the fact
that you entered my life with such a force
And alas! Left it with no
REMORSE!
Woot! Not so bad for a 10th grader. And then i realized it wasn't "LOVE" but it was mere infatuation, the one at its peak. And i had mistaken it for love! After years i got to know something, something authentic. That is "You don't ever 'stop loving' a person. It's either you love someone always or you have never loved him." The amount of love may fluctuate but won't go nil.
And so with ample reminiscent, i turned the pages gingerly and found more poems. I was inflated with blithe. I went through many other diaries and the blonde conversation chits and found them real amusing. Then i ditched the idea of dumping the magic box. I put all the books inside, sealed the box and placed it where it was before. Safe and secure.
Maybe 'cos i haven't grown up yet! ;)
Once again i failed in the attempt to clean my room!!! Welcome procrastination :D
